Ib Kofod Larsen for GPlan: Danish design teak mid-century sideboard
Designed by Ib Kofod Larsen for GPlan, this teak sideboard forms part of the superior ‘Danish design’ range.
Launched in 1962, the range was a step up in quality both in terms of materials and design. This sideboard is perhaps the most balanced and desirable of the designs standing at just shy of 200cm long, and with three cupboards flanking a set of drawers. The craftsmanship is incredible.
Unusually, the handles are made from teak rather than rosewood, and is presented in exceptional unrestored condition. Purchased from the original owners who bought this in 1963, along with the matching dining set, it has been impeccably cared for.
